About Club

The Creekers

The Campbells Creek Football Netball Club has a long and proud history, spanning back to 1864, and they play in the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football Netball League (or MCDFNL).

Campbells Creek is a quaint little country town, on the edge of Castlemaine, with a rich gold mining history.

The club operates from the Campbells Creek Recreation Reserve, located at Fryers Road, Campbells Creek. Facilities at the Reserve available for members and player use, include one full size football oval, one netball court, male change rooms, disabled toilet and social room facilities.

We have two claims to fame; we proudly entered the Guinness Book of Records, with an impressive 100 goal haul against our opposition; Primrose, in 1990. This record still stands today.

Our second one is, AFL superstar and Brownlow medallist; Dustin Martin, played 5 years of junior football at Campbells Creek.

Campbells Creek FNC has faced many highlights and challenges over our 158 year history.

The last senior premiership was back in 1953.

In 2007, the club went into recess, but bounced back in 2008.

A highlight for CCFNC in 2019, was the reserves team had their first win in 1358 days (3 years and 8 months)!!! That victory was as good as any premiership win, and the little town of Campbells Creek celebrated the night away.

Along with the rest of the world, we found ourselves facing covid in 2020, and we were all forced to stay in our homes, and not play the sports we love.

At the start of 2021, we had to make the devastating decision to take the club back into recess, as we were unable to bounce back from the blows of covid.

But with a lot of hard work from a dedicated bunch of people, we are back and ready for season 2023.

The Mission of the Campbells Creek Football Netball Club is to win the respect of the community and fellow clubs by creating a positive environment for all football and netball players from the juniors through to seniors as well as for the members and supporters of the club.

The club aims to be a successful family club, both on and off the field, by providing quality coaching, working together to promote a strong community involvement with a safe and supportive environment for all people associated with the club.

It is hoped that everyone participating in the club in some way, will enjoy the experience and look forward to future involvement with us.
